Ali ibn Abi Talib was born around 600-601 CE in Makkah into the Banu Hashim clan of the Quraysh, the same clan as Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). His father was Abu Talib, the uncle and guardian of the Prophet.

Ali was raised in the household of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from a young age, after the Prophet took him in to help ease the financial burden on Abu Talib during a period of hardship in Makkah.

Growing up under the direct care of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Ali developed a deep bond with the Prophet from his earliest years. He witnessed the first moments of the revelation and was profoundly shaped by this experience.
